Today I write the best news ever and the hardest post to write. River has found a family. They took him home today and if he fits in well it will be his forever home. River really liked them a lot and instantly seemed to bond well, snuggling, rolling on his back and trying to mouth there hands, something he does when he is really really happy ( I usually just shove a toy in his mouth as he isn't doing it hard just soft nibbles)
They are the perfect people that if I had ordered a family for River this would be it. He will have someone with him all day, he will have an older yellow lab female to be his buddy, or at least to tolerate his antics and keep him company, and after spending time with his new "parents" I know they will spoil him beyond his wildest dreams....in a good way. I keep tearing up when I realize I am not going to hear him clumping around the house, doing the full body wriggle for his supper and dashing around doing puppy zoomies...but I know it is for the best and he will get way more attention then I could give him....I will keep everyone posted on how he is doing.
